Creative Industries Fund

Nova Scotia is helping to grow our creative sector.

In May of 2016, Department of Communities, Culture and Heritage began accepting applications for a new $2 million Creative Industries Fund.  This fund has been designed, in consultation with stakeholders, to invest in the growth of the creative industries.

The Creative Industries Fund will assist Nova Scotia businesses within the creative sector to expand into new and developing markets, encourage growth and promote innovation through collaboration and partnerships.  Through this fund the creative sectors will be able to deliver new and exciting content that can be exported internationally providing an opportunity for growth and long term sustainability.

Businesses, not-for-profits, social enterprises and sector associations operating in the creative sectors are eligible for funding.  Target industries include design/clothing and textile, music, performing arts, production and fine craft, visual arts and applied arts as well as written and published works.
